1. Service

Sound Meter provides personal sound observation, comparison, record, report and relaxation-audio features for general everyday use.

2. Measurement limitations

Estimated dBA values are shown only under the app’s applicable measurement/calibration conditions. Relative dBFS(A) values may be used for compatible same-device comparisons. Device microphones, system processing, calibration, audio routes and environmental conditions can affect results.

Sound Meter is not a medical device, occupational-compliance instrument, legal evidence instrument, engineering certification service or certified professional sound level meter.

3. Optional local recordings

If you enable the app’s measurement-recording setting, audio may be saved locally on your device for replay. You are responsible for using any recording feature in accordance with laws and the rights of people around you.

4. Pro products

Sound Meter may offer Monthly Pro and Yearly Pro as auto-renewable subscriptions and Permanent Pro as a one-time non-consumable purchase. Actual price, currency, billing period, introductory offer eligibility and purchase confirmation are displayed by Apple’s App Store.

5. Subscription renewal and cancellation

Auto-renewable subscriptions are managed by Apple. They renew according to the terms shown by the App Store until cancelled. You can manage or cancel eligible subscriptions through Apple’s subscription settings.

6. Free trials and introductory offers

An introductory free trial is displayed only when the App Store reports that the account is eligible and the offer is available. The App Store purchase confirmation controls the applicable trial length, renewal price and billing terms.

7. Restore purchases

The app provides a restore-purchases action. Restored access depends on Apple’s verified transaction state. Purchasing Permanent Pro does not automatically cancel an existing subscription.

8. Advertising

Free users may see Google AdMob advertising. Advertising availability must not be treated as a condition for accessing a completed measurement or an already saved free record. Active verified Pro entitlement removes in-app interstitial ads.

9. Local data and backups

Some content is stored only on your device. Device loss, app deletion or system data removal can cause local data loss. Use available export or backup features for information you want to preserve. Measurement audio recordings are not included in app backup files.

10. Availability and changes

Features may change when necessary for compatibility, reliability, legal requirements or platform policies. Purchases and refunds remain subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and transaction state.
